Club Deportivo Leganés played for its survival in the last match of the season. After a sudden turn before the decisive match with the dismissal of Igor Oca and the arrival of Carlos Martínez, the pepinero team secured its permanence in Segunda División. The fall in this last year has been great, as it went from descending from Primera División by goal difference in the last match to almost leaving professional football just 12 months later. The atmosphere became complicated during the season and the best example was that the fans ended the match singing 'Directiva, dimisión' and showing a banner asking for respect to BCS Crow, owner of the club with Jeff Luhnow at the head. However, just one day after certifying the salvation, a new drastic turn took place as announced by the club itself in a statement. The new owner of the club is 885 Capital, a fund with headquarters in the United Arab Emirates founded by entrepreneurs Sudeep Ramnani and Jai Mahtani. The new ownership will focus on strengthening the team's performance, deepening the bond with the club's members and fans, continuing to improve the infrastructure and preserving the identity, history and values of a club that is approaching its centenary. The new president of the club is Eduardo Cosín, who was already vice-president with Jeff Luhnow and now takes a step forward in this new stage.
